ok, AltDesk would be reaaallly kewl
IF
it would stay on the desktop's z-level and not insist on being on top of any Windows that I have open...
I have set the options to every conceivable setting I can think of and yet....no go.
XP Pro, using Aston 1.7 ... ATI All-in Wonder ....
any clues?

I got to agree, if always on top property of this piece of nice software would be user switchable or just off, i'd love it, could u plz do a minor software update to change this ?

I think thats where these programs vary from others such as Litestep or indeed X-windows.
I think its because the two programs dont work together... Perhaps thats a call for a plugin? any developers out there?

This is true. All other virtual destop managers have this option - it's really a must. I have mailed ones to support and got the answer: maybe in the next version. Well, there have been a couple of version uot since. Plus I posted similar post about a month ago. Does anyone at Astonshell ever read this forum?

I find myself in the other situation. I don't use Aston, however I have tried it and like it.
I don't mind the always on top issue since I have the habits of a Mac user and never maximize windows. I would however like to be able to place the VWM on top of the explorer taskbar. For whatever reason it won't stay on top of the taskbar even though it is always on top of the other applications. Anyone know how to fix this?
