I have seen a couple of themes I would like to install, but instead of being in the *.zip format they are in a *.rar format... How do you install these themes?

Use WinRar, latest version is V3, search for 'winrar' in google, rarsoft or rarlabs.com.
Then copy the complete folder to your themes folder.

http://www.zdnet.com Has a Great Free utility called Pugzip, it handles an incredible amount of compression formats including RAR, and best of all its FREE no nag screens or anything. Enjoy

Articflare, I disagree:
This is not a busy forum. If we tell everyone the read the manual or read the faq's some people may not post at all. I don't mind answering such questions, and from what I can see, neither do others here. If the forum becomes very busy, then perhaps we should answer the question and polietly mention that the answer could be found in the manual /faq.
BTW the FAQ refers to 'unzipping' and not decompressing rar files, which is what the first post is really about. Anyway as a result of this thread I have learnt that a product called PugZip exists, which I have found most useful.
