what exactly does the "overlap fullscreen apps" option do?

and

is there any way to have altdesk act as a docked toolbar? (where when u maximize an app, it doesnt go over or under altdesk)

AltDesk is always on top even if the application in a fullscreen mode. (For ex. movies)

Do you mean Always on top function? AltDesk always is in "Always on top" mode.

He means like the taskbar. Where the window won't get into it's space.

Thank you, Kev!
No, AltDesk can't behave like taskbar.

If you also use Aston with AltDesk, I'm working on a plugin that will allow you to set the work area of your desktop, so that maximized windows will not move outside the area that you define it to be. I'm having a few compatibility problems (mainly not working on almost any other machine that tries to use it Confused), but overall I should have it done one of these days (I really have no idea though how long it will get, I have a problem that it seems like no one can fix). So if you want, you can wait for that (which might take a while though).
