Hi there.
Can someone please advise me how I can use and install the DeskTop Info 1.1 plug-in? I would like it to function something like the CPU meter, where it's installed in the Right Toolbar.
Thank you.
P.S. Does anyone have a screenshot of this plug-in?

I have it working on my machine with no problems.. Try these steps:
1. DL and open zip file 2. Extract the 'DeskTopInfo.plg' file to the Plugin Dir of Aston 3. Access the Aston Master config screen 4. Click on the plug-in tab 5. Click on the 'Add' button on the left side 6. Point to the DeskTopInfo.plg in the plug-in folder. Press 'OPEN'
The plugin should then be listed at the bottom in the list of plugins
7. Click the checkbox to enable it.. 8. Press the 'OK' button and minimize all open windows to show the desktop.
There should be a box on the top-left-hand corner of your desktop with the info
Here's an example: Example
Click and drag the infobox to anywhere on your desktop.. And you can also configure many parts of the plugin in the Plug-In Configuration of the Aston Master, including the removal of the "bevel" border-outline..
I hope that works for you.. :-/

hi,
i just found this page and really like it, but i have one question about this plugin, is it possible to display more infos on the desktop (like coolmon, which i currently use) eg. print a line from a textfile (this way i have the actual tv-programm on my desk).
If this is possible, i think i will surrender...*g*

Lines from text file - it is cool idea... I'll think about it.

Nice little plugin but unfortunately after running happily for a few minutes it crashes Aston.
"This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down" - you know
Also it incorrectly shows both my HD's as being empty.
"Drive C 2047 Mb - 2047 Mb free" "Drive D blah...."
I'm running W98.

U have 1.2 or 1.1? (i mean version) 1.1 was quite unstable. Try DeskTop Info 1.2. It is much more better thats for sure.

??? What about the real size / free space ???
Send me all information because if u only say "it does n't show real free space" - it says nothing for me. Is it old hdd model? Cluster size? Screenshot...
