hi i am new to aston, let me first say this is quite program u guys got here. anyways i was eager to start adding stuff to my new desktop so i first started to customize my current theme with new elements, edit existing elements, etc.
i then proceeded to download some plugins,,, the two plugins ive downloaded so far are Zip 2.0 and the Aston Gismeteo v1.1..
without any luck i couldnt get either of them to work.
the problems i encounter are as follows, please i hope one of u techies can help me
Aston Gismeteo v1.1 = when i load the plugin in aston options i am able to configure it, but after i click apply, i guess when it tries to build the plugin in my desktop, it says a file is missing from a certain directory(its the original download directory and not in the aston program files directory where i had placed the plugin. even upon moving all files to the directory it is looking in, it still gives me the same error that it cannot find the file.
Zip 2.0 (displays IP addy on desktop)
i had a little bit more luck with this one but still didnt get very far, i was able to load the plugin from the aston directory, and actually got it to appear on my desktop, i selected a skin, a font, etc for the plugin, now the plugin shows up on my desktop with the selected skin, by the ip address is missing. ive read the readme file and followed the instructions properly but still nothing.
please i really like aston alot, and i want this to work, im sure there is a simple or not so simple solution to fix this but if provided with clear step by step instructions im sure i can manage to get it work.
im sorry im a noob in this but everyone has to learn at some point right??
also if someone could point me in the proper direction for some tutorials on making your own themes and plugins that would be great too, i would much like to design some of my own things for this program and share them with you guys
and one more question, im not sure if someone already asked this... im a bit tired and need to head off to bed but, i was wondering if there is a plugin for windows media player so that i can have it in the taskbar with the options to play/pause, stop next track, previous track, etc.
thanks in advance to whoever can help me.
