|
|
Each time I install Aston 2 it works properly for a few days.
But then the problem begins.
The right mouse button doesn't work anymore. No contextmenue opens and I cannot access to the Aston Settings.
Also the Icon for the "Aston Design" is removed from my Start Menue.
In any other Software like my Internet browser the right mouse button still works as expected but whenever I click on any element by Aston just nothing happens. This includes the Taskbar, the "Start" menue, any Panel or widged generated by Aston.
Need help!

Please, make sure your Aston installer was downloaded from our official site and activated with genuine License key!

The aston Installer was downloaded from the official site, but it is not activated yet.
I downloaded it to test it, and to decide whether i will buy it or not.
But sadly the mentioned bug will convince me to turn back to "Windows Explorer" if you cannot solve this problem.
PS.: No, the 30 days of trail usage have not expiered yet.

Probably, you can not right-click because you had some damaged version installed. Please, completely un-install Aston from your PC and install the newest version from our official site without saving any parameters of the previous version installed.
You can add 'Aston skins...' item in Start menu from 'Customize Start menu' dialog -> Add element -> Aston skins...

My problem is quite the same. I had this issue more than once, everytime after clean install it worked fine. But suddenly it stopped reacting to the right mouse button everywhere and the left in the clock tray. I could solve the problem for a short time shutting down aston2 the rough way via the windows-taskmanager and restarting double-clicking another standard-theme-file. This just works till logout. Now, after more than just one install of the trial I'm a little fed up. Everytime I almost finished my config this fault makes me stumble. Is no one able to reconstruct this error or to solve this problem?
I always load the trial fresh from astonshell and install it on different windows installations on one of my PC's. Some installations are clean, some are up to date and some are even customized. The problem is all the same. Un-installation is always done without saving any parameters.
I cannot find any difference from a working to a non-working config though except it is not working...
Please help!

Now I recreated the problem. It happens when changing the theme from one with animated background to a static one. I changed from Observer to Sleek Unlimited and the error occured.
I there anything I can give you to get a little further on this?

In my first few hours of using aston i would have agreed to your statement about the moving backgrounds and the static ones. I had to do my config four times till I was able to complete it. So I thought it must have someting to do with the act of configuration.
But then:
The fifth time of completely reinstalling windows, I managed to complete my configuration. Aston worked all well. -- For a week.
Then the problem started again, without myself changing ANYTHING.
It was just there.

You can enter the 'Customize Start Menu...' dialog from Start menu -> Settings -> Aston Preferences -> Menu tab (there is a special button which shows this dialog).

The way through "Start - Settings" give me Printer, Network Connections, Network Neighborhood, Aston-Help and About (Aston)...
No preferences avialable...
But this is not the core of the problem, is it? Can you recreate the error? Is there any way to solve it?

I now continued testings and I found out, that even the "list-button" (it's between right WIN and right CTRL) isn't working...

"Preferences..." don't appear in Start Menu -> Settings in the cracked Aston version.
If you do insist it is the version you downloaded from our official web-site and activated with a valid license key, please, send us your license key for check on 'support' and sign with your forum name.

Because I am not able to do it myself and not allowed to contact an admin via PM. I just reply to my original post to ak for someone to delete my account in this forum.
