I have been using AltDesk for some years now, and I upgraded to 1.9.1 when it came out. I alos upgraded to Win 7/64-bit when it came out. I do experience a few issues, which I'd like to document here and see if anyone else has them, or if it's my configuration:
1. Every so often, AltDesk "hangs" and I have to wind up killing it and restarting it. When I do that, I get back the desktop I was on, but I have to use the Advanced Request/Recover Window option to get back my missing windows, then move them to the desktop they should be on.
2. Even if I shut AltDesk down normally, it doesn't make all of the existing windows from the other desktops visible.
3. When I look in the recover Window list, I see a lot of Outlook mail windows which I had closed by clicking on their red 'X' in the upper left corner of the window. They don't disappear unless I shut down Outlook and restart it.
4. When I specify a window I want to be sticky via caption, If I shut the window down and restart it, it's no longer sticky even if it's got the same caption.
5. When I RDC to the machine, AltDesk is such a problem that I have to shut it down and not use it. It behaves erratically and won't always switch where or when I want it to. One final piece: I have a 3 monitor desktop on this machine, and a 1 monitor desktop on the machine I RDC from. But the one monitor is larger then any one or the three monitors.
Having said all of that, I love the product, and I recommend it to friends and co-workers. I would love it if these are problems which can be fixed with changed settings.
