Thanks for replying Bill...

It seemed to work...in theory, I have it set on the taskbar but whatever skin I use, it just shows up as a grey box, or as a zoomed in image...I fear I am very new to this!

So, summarizing, the plugin works, but makes aston really unstable - what is a shame because I always loved how aston made my machine more stable, especially by beaing oblivious to explorer.exe crashes.

Are you sure it's just my plugin?

I have recently begun using Aston Secure Desktop. It is great! Laughing

I would like to know my battery level (at all times)

I have a Vista OS. I used to have Windows side bar and a nice widget to tell me battery level.

How with Aston can I be kept aware of my battery level Question

(cont.)

I tried downloading this plug-in:

http://www.astonshell.com/forum/download.php?id=30

which I did. But I don't know how to get it running. I managed to run the extracted file. I get the dialogue box who's picture I have attached.

How do I use the plug-in?

Thanks.

Avrohom

I finally realized that I had the plug-in in the wrong folder. I cut it and pasted it into the plug-in folder of Aston.

But when I tried to "add" this plug-in I get an error message:

"Non-secure plug-in!"

What should I do? Rolling Eyes

Hi Avrohom! Since you are using Aston Secure Desktop, I have no idea. Either wait and/or fire off an email to support [AT] astonshell.com for somebody more knowledgeable about this subject. Wink

Anybody know how to set the X and Y locations within a TFA or APC file for vBattery? I use different monitor resolutions all of the time and this would be very handy. Wink

Code:
PlgSection=vBattery

[vBattery]
X=
Y=

Edit as needed.

Hi,

I guess I’m getting rusty with keeping up to date with the latest PSP stuff as the latest update on Hold+ plugin appeared right under my nose. When using your PSP as an MP3 player, it nearly doubles your battery life

The Hold+ plugin does the following when activiated:
Switches off the LCD screen and backlight.
Underclocks the CPU to 60MHz
Fixes malfunctioning Hold switch.
The original screen brightness and clock speed are restored only when the Hold switch is released fully to the power off position.
Prevents the PSP from going into suspend mode if you accidently push the power switch too far when turning off Hold mode.
Turns off LEDs in hold mode.
While in hold mode, allows the use of Left, Right, LTrigger, RTrigger, Volume and Start buttons, if you hold the Select button first. Useful to skip songs, pause etc.

Thanks
David

There are no real gotchas when building/compiling a plugin. I have written a few plugins for Vixen. If you need any help or sample code for serial devices etc... just drop me pm.

Hello to all Aston lovers.

Im looking for a plugin that can be placed on the desktop and can popup my shortcuts folder on mouse over just like the start menu

Istead of using the programs.. in the start menu Ive created a folder on my C drive called shortcuts with all the shortcuts Im using. I think it is much more easy to gain acces to my shortcuts this way and to organize them.

I want to keep i simple so my PC runs better.

Thanks in advance.
