It is working just fine here using Aston 2.0.4. Which version are you running?

2.04

hmmmmm lol

maybe I should reinstall?

I can't think of anything else to do.

UPDATE: I reinstalled twice, still get server not available. No firewalls or any of that kind of thing. I have to think it's in the program or at your end, but who knows?

I will stand by for awhile before I delete it AND I am open to suggestions Smile

I don't know where you live or anything, but you could try Paris or New York or something and see if that works? Just right click on the weather and select "Change the area".

well I tried everything I know including a hard uninstall and rebuilding the whole thing. Yes, tried different cities, countries, WORLDS if I could! Smile

Thanks for trying to help but I just have to give up for awhile, I guess.

I still think its THEM (the weather place) not Aston.

I don't know what to tell you both. I have five Aston2 licenses and I run them on three XP, one Windows 7, and one Windows 8 machines (all Aston2 2.04). They are all are x32 bit OS. And all with the exception of Windows 8, Aston2 is working pretty fine, including the Weather widget. Under Windows 8, I can only get the Start Menu part to work and that is all (no widgets either, unless it is part of the Start Menu). I also live in the USA. But the thing to do now is to send an email to support AT astonshell.com.

I am on one of my XP Pro SP2 machines right now and I don't have a gina.dll file anywhere. I do have the following though.

IWPDGINA.dll
msgina.dll
shgina.dll

I just fired up my Windows 7 Home Premium machine (x32). And it only has:

shgina.dll
shgina.dll.mui

I only had the Launch Bar widget mess up on me once. I seemed to recall one new theme started the problem. And it wouldn't no longer show all groups anymore. Uninstalling Aston2 and reinstalling didn't help. Trying to resize it also failed. What worked was deleting the widget and then adding it once again. And I never had a problem with it ever again. So I guess if you are having a problem with a widget, just delete it and then add it again. Wink

Here's another one: I went to Internet Options and deleted my whole browsing history - voila! Weather works again.
