Aston Theme Contest

I just thought maybe it would be a great promotional idea to have a theme contest where participants design and submit themes for Aston. The ultimate theme, as voted for by the forum members, would be the winner. The prize could be a free full version of Aston. Does that sound like a good idea? I myself have no idea how to make a theme, but I'm sure a few of you do anyway. ;D

i'm not sure but on the aston homepage doesnt say some thing about getting a registered version for a good theme?...i hope this is true ...cause i just busted my hump...i would have dome it anyway but ......i['m sending it in ....good luck to ya Cool

Ok.. I have a dumb question... ???

How does one make a theme? Is there a guide somewhere? Would someone be kind enough to step forward?

well heres a start....first you can change any bmp (picture file) in aston by just opening aston master and changing the directorys...i start with some simple thing like the one menu bar and take it form there ..its very likely that you will need a editor (adobe photoshop,paint shop pro) and if want to do a lot of work you can use ms paint : Smile

after your done making n your pictures for the bars , icons and wallpaper there is a nice little app called "tcreator" after you set it all up ...this will put all your stuff in one folder and copy the rc file,making it an aston theme ...i recommend just messing around with it ....it dont crash relax Cool
