Futura XP theme

My new theme, Futura XP, still in progress. Please have a look. Comments / suggestions welcome.

The five little curved bar-like buttons in the left-top corner and the right-top corner are all theme elements that display what they are in the bigger green circle when the mouse is over them.

The left ones are:

My computer
My desktop
Recycle bin
Web browser
Check mail

The right ones are:

Network neighborhood
Control panel
Suspend work
Logoff user
Shutdown windows

Wow... some crazyness going on with the top part, I really like it!  

TASKBAR:
Okay, I love the start button.  However, the dirty green middle section just looks out of place.  

START MENU:
I would say that the gradient for the highlight on the menu is very nice indeed.  Again though, for the rest of the menu if you are gonna use green, I think the colors need to match better and look "clean".

DESKTOP:
Very nice wallpaper, I am impressed.  As to the icons on the desktop, are you going to keep those like that?  They look very much out of place (color/shapewise), perhaps you would customize them to fit the theme?

Very nice work, IMHO.  Pease keep it up.  We need more good aston themes.  BTW, I hope you are using Kazza for stuff that is legal.

A good interface approach.  I agree that the icons in the middle look out of place.  May I suggest you adopt a similar approach to the mouse overs you used at the top left and right.#

hey whats that graph at right toolbar for? Its above the shutdown icon. Im a newbie in Aston...can u please explain to me whats that and what is it for?

Thanks for the input guys. I'll be working on it for a bit to work in your ideas. Oh, I should probably say that the wallpaper isn't made from scratch. I worked on a free wallpaper pic that I found here:

Also, the icons in the oval thing are actually not part of the theme. I thought that would be a good place for people to put their explorer icons by using the 'get explorer icons' function in Aston. I thought this would allow people that don't know how or don't want to make buttons for all their programs a place to put them. I'll rethink on that and see if I can come up with something that looks better.

P.S. The graph in the right toolbar is a CPU monitor to let you know how much your computer is thinking.

P.P.S. I use Kazaa for only legal things. WinMX is much better to use for the illegal ones. j/k

Looks very nice !

Everyone to his/her own taste.......I like the buttons in the middle, but would prefer the same color scheme throughout, ie either all blues or all greens.

you mean the graph in the RIGHT tool bar?  that's the standard memory meter that comes with aston.
