I'm not a coder my self so i have no idea how difficult this would be but i was just wondering if anyone ever thought of adding a "Change" option to Panel like there is in TopPanel so that the elements can be rearranged more easily.
Also i'm not sure how many people use vertical panel but i like having the extra space to fill with links. I was also wondering if anyone thought to bring VeritcalPanel a little more up to date so it's a easily skinnable as Panel. The main feature that is better about panel is that you don't have to set the skins on each individual item and subitem you add, the main skin setting automatically skins them for you.

Hi again ,
Nor am i a coder but u don't need to be one to create exactly what you want . I would just say read the skinning info and posts on Plug-ins. All the panels you have mentioned can be skinned or modified to your needs, check out other themes, proof is in the pudding.
I am not a artistic creative type, but just about everyone else in here is so, you will have lots of support. I do love the themes others create and love the program in general hence why I'm here.
Have a read through your last post and replies, theres some good tips on modifying exsisting modules in there.
I tested TopPanel 1.9.2 then looked at Panel 1.9.6 you can create as many elements as u like with HTML links in panel.
Hope this helps, if not, sure one of the regulars/modulators will add some more info.

Actually you can reorganize them. Right click on it and select "Setup Plug-in". Then select the General tab and see Panel tree? Click on the right column. Then click on the "..." and you can move, etc.
This is true of Panel, I am not sure of the older Top Panel.

IIRC, BillW50, I think that you had to organize via manually editing the toppanel settings file.
