I'm just curious. Is there any way to turn on the clipboard feature that was in the previous version Aston. It was that little notepad that was located in the right sidebar by default. I can not locate an equivalent widget in Aston 2. If it's not there in the default installation, is there any way to re-add support for it? It was a really useful feature that I actually used extensively since Windows does not allow you to store more than one item in the clipboard at a time.

Hi djnforce9! Well while not as good as Aston1's Notebook. But there is a trick I use when I don't have a machine with Aston1 running. And that is to create a shortcut that opens Notepad and a filename. For example:
%SystemRoot%\system32\notepad.exe c:\Notebook.txt
You can create it on the desktop, Quick Launch, etc. You have to either create or save one as this filename first, or Notepad will complain. Also you have to save if you close it or all new stuff will be lost (CTRL-S works). Like I said, not as handy as Notebook, but it should do the job until Notebook comes around for Aston2. Help this helps you for now.

Thanks. I guess that will have to do for now. At least it's good to know that there are plans for Notebook implementation in Aston2.

If you are looking for a a multiple clip book tool there are several available. The one I use is ditto-cp available from sourceforge. This might be another option for you. It is the best one that I have tried and I have tried a lot. Best of all it is free.

That does sound neat. Thanks for pointing it out to me. Too bad I couldn't stick it on a panel though. That would have been perfect. I guess it will do for now though.

I use Smart Type Assistant ($10). It has multiple clipboard, auto correct, auto replace, and diary. But I still like notebook when I have it available.

The beauty of Notebook is how it can be integrated into a Panel (or in Aston2's case, it'll have to be a widget) and accessed by mousing over the designated icon. These other solutions would still require me to open a separate application in order to use them.
