I have a Geforce2 video card, and it comes with nView desktop manager which I have been using as a simple way to swap between a few desktops using Alt + shortcuts.
However, the taskbar in Aston does not show in any other 'virtual' desktops - only in the main desktop, and I can't find an option to send to all desktops (perhaps it is possible using the right-click context menu nView menu, but that does not work on the Aston taskbar [or any taskbar?] )
I will probably migrate to AltDesk after I look into its features, but it would be nice to know if anybody had a solution to this. Thanks.

Hi there,
I'm using the same card and software, and have not needed the features of the desktop manager because I use hotkeys to swap between different tfa files with different elements on. However, I would be willing to investigate this further for you. My suspicion is that the functions that explorer uses for those calls are different from those which Aston uses with Altdesk. However, I can sometimes make things work when they shouldn't, so let's see....
Regards,

Yeah, it has to have something to do with how Aston handles the taskbar as oposed to explorer. I use hotkeys to swap between windows, so it isn't too much of a hassle, but if you wouldn't mind looking into it I'd appreciate it, it would be nice to have a taskbar (and all the other desktop plugins, btw, such as the left/right menu's and the 'TopPanel) in my second desktop. I will probably eventually get AltDesk (after I get a job, lol), but since nView will always be availiable to me free it would be nice if it worked better.
Other things you may want to know:
The 'Main' desktop often shows strange lines forming a square. It took me a while to realize that the lines only appeared after I had used IE windows in my other desktop.
I use Trillian, and I have it docked (locked) to the right side of my screen. When it is active, it affects windows in my other desktops (the same way the empty taskbar location affects them).
tfa files? I like learning random semi-useless computer stuff. I think I'll add how multi-desktops work to my reading list, thanks.

Hey, one more thing unrelated to this thread's bug, just in case you know the answer since you also use nView.
nView starts with windows, however, every time I restart my computer I have to re-add my 'Hot Keys'. Ex. I use (Alt + Ctrl + Z) to go to the 'Next Desktop'. This is set in the nView Desktop Manager -> Hot Keys .
Once I add it, I can use it, but after I reboot its gone.
The funny thing is that the other Hot Key, 'Switch to next display device - Ctrl + Shift + Alt + Z,' always remains there.
I have tried saving the modified settings multiple times, and everything I have to re-add the Hot Key, and then in the Profiles tab it tells me that the profile has been 'modified', and so I save it again, and so on and so forth.
Any ideas? Do you have this same problem or does my computer just not want to save that Hot Key?
