We are glad to announce the release of Aston2 Shell version 1.4.2.
This is an improved and polished version of Aston2, which is compatible with Windows 7! Aston2 is feature-rich Windows standard shell replacement application with the enhanced functionality. Aston2 consists of three components: Menu, Desktop and Panels which, accumulating the best achievements of Aston1 and keeping up with the latest tendencies, turn your desktop into a yet more convenient and attractive environment. Every element of Aston2 can be tweaked and customized, thus letting one to create yet more convenient working area.

Aston2 1.4 worked nicely, however 1.4.2 has something grossly wrong. When I shift to shell mode and log back in or restart, I get an application error in ehtray.exe and no other applications will start. The Aston2 Menu and Panel seem functional as does the Aston2 Preferences, so I can shift back to the Explorer shell.
