We have finally finished the process of AltDesk 1.6 alpha testing and now AltDesk 1.6 beta 2 is available to public. The second beta of AltDesk 1.6 also features numerous improvements over the previous one: + New configuration GUI. + New defaults. + New language file format (not backward compatible with previous INI format). + Wallpapers can now be selected from both Shell and AltDesk's GUI. + New help file. + Tray icon now cannot be disabled (to prevent certain issues). + Option to recover AltDesk's window if placed outside visible screen area. + Option to disable advanced tooltips. + Using high-quality resampling for wallpapers and previews. * Fixed bug: skin "jumping" when adjusting button position. * Fixed bug: animation settings didn't influence fade effects. * Numerous minor improvements and bugfixes.
As always, we have prepared a bunch of free registrations to active beta testers and supporters.

You have reported serious bugs/flaws
You have made a translation to your native language and wish to improve it in the future
You have made a good skin in modern format ...and we ahve accepted your works.
Please, post all beta 2 related information to our forum so we could faster track it.

I like it very much except, Cycle feature is not there, I used to have one key to switch between all of them , now I have to assigne two key one for next and the other for previous :(

When working from the options menu: wallpaper settings won't work if active desktop not enabled, no explanation why they don't work, changes are simply ignored. Wallpaper position pull down menu does not work, you can use arrows to change them but there is a delay. These work fine if you change them by right clicking the desktop, and choosing active desktop.
